When you join 1865, you will automatically become an Explorer Member. Below are three levels of status: Gateway, Voyager, and Destiny. To upgrade status, you must reach a certain number of stays or a certain number of room nights within a calendar year:

HSBC Premier Privileges
HSBC Premier cardholders are exempt from the 1865 Voyager membership requirement. In other words, you can enjoy member-only benefits immediately after registration. The Voyager status is valid for one year and will be automatically renewed if you stay at a participating hotel more than once a year. This proposal is valid only for new 1865 members.
