Accutech Systems Corp. agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that a 2021 data breach compromised consumer information due to substandard cybersecurity measures.
According to the data breach class action lawsuit, Accutech failed to implement effective cybersecurity measures and protect consumers from an August 2021 data breach. The breach compromised names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers and other information.
Accutech is a distributor of voice, data, AV, wireless and security solutions with over 35 branch locations in the United States.
Accutech hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.
