If you are with Sprint’s regular contract, now is a good time to get our to join SERO or get a lot of freebies by threatening to cancel.
How?
Sprint is changing the rates on roaming minutes from .50 cents to .69 cents a minute. According to their contract, anytime they change the rates, you have the right to decline and break the contract without paying the ETF. You have until August 1st to cancel your Sprint Contract.
What to do?
First, this doesn’t apply to SERO. Call them up *2, and ask for the retention department.
Follow the script:
- You: I want to cancel the contract due to the fact the roaming rate has been changed and I do not agree with the new term.
- CSR: “you can’t..blah blah…we are better..blah blah”
- You: According to the contract, I have every right to cancel without the contact without paying any ETF.
- CSR: Well, if you stay, we can offer the followings: “free nights and weekends” “free text messages” “free Vision” ..etc.
- You: Well, only if you included all of that and 20% discounts on top of my bill each month.
- CSR: sure
Of course, the above scenario works for some people. I’ve done this before, whereas I do not want to cancel my family plan but only trying to get more freebies from them. If you really want to cancel, then just decline and Join Sprint SERO plan for only $30 a month.
