I don’t see where there is a 6180 requirement to keep acct open
Read the fine print. Accounts may need to be kept open for 90 or 180 days to avoid early account closing penalty fees
I brought in the coupon along with my LLC formation papers and my EIN to my local Crapital One branch on 8/20/12 and it took 90 minutes for two “officers” to figure out how to apply the coupon (they said they wanted to make sure it wasn’t fraudulent) and how to establish my accounts. I deposited way more than the required amounts in the form of a couple of checks from a multi-billion dollar corporation drawn from their account with Chase bank, yet Crapital One only recognizes $4800 from each check on 8/23, and then won’t recognize the rest until 8/29! Nine days of no interest or access to my money! I called their lack of service department, and no, nothing could be done about the delays and no, no calls to Chase could be made to verify the availibility of funds. As soon as I get the promo payment I’m coming back here to look for the next best deal and dumping Crapital One.
