I am trying to find the Attorneys who handle this type of claim! Cause Capitol one Did in fact told me they were going to discharge my debt after I proved that I was on disability and couldn’t pay them and they told me they would charge it off by saying I was a hardship case and that if I ever got to where I could pay that contact them and make arrangement and try to pay something but didn’t have to and several months after the law firm or so they said sent me a letter from a collection service with a factious name wanting to collect the same debt, I did in fact contact them and they said Capitol one hired them to collect the debt but with a little hard work we found out that capitol sold the debt to this company and that capitol wasn’t trying to collect but the company who bought the debt was. I have all the names and did finally got in touch with the people from capitol one and they reluctantly told me they had the right to sell the debt even after they told me the debt was charged off and placed on my credit report. Someone contact me cause I believe this is illegal and needs to be stopped and a monetary fine needs to be put in place.
