Envision Credit Union agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it failed to protect consumer info from a 2021 data breach.
Plaintiffs in the data breach class action lawsuit claim that Envision Credit Union could have prevented the August 2021 data breach through reasonable cybersecurity measures. Consumers are now at the risk for fraud and identity theft, the consumers contend.
Envision Credit Union is a financial institution in northern Florida and southern Georgia.
Envision hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve these data breach claims.
