Award charts are based on flight distance in kilometers: While some airlines reward based on miles, Fortune Wings club does not. The key is to find city pairs that fit at the higher end of Fortune Wings Club bands: 0-500, 501-1000, 1001-1500, 1501-2000, 2001-3000, 3000+.

Avoid award redemptions with Etihad Airways and TAP Portugal: The fuel surcharges are ridiculous, so you won’t be saving much, if at all.

Bottom Line

If you’re a frequent flyer, consider joining the Fortune Wings Club. While they may not be the most popular frequent flyer program, the program has great earning potential with transfer partners like Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors and IHG Rewards Club.
