I had rewards go missing as well. Only $50, but they were able to issue. Glad to know I’m not alone!
Beware of the gap Visa card. I am a member since 2014. I have had over $2000 in reward used by another card holder since Spring 2020. The reps tell me its a known issue with this credit card point system that takes points off of other people accounts because gap is sending rewards email certs with the same codes so whoever uses it first uses points but the people lose the points and show them as spent. Then after 3 months they give you points back but only give you $250 in rewards certs a month. I had 1500 the first time it happened back in June and then on black Friday it happened again. Like I literally had points then I did not when I went to log in later to purchase. I have been on the phone with them for 2 hours on and off hold and all they can say is its a known issue and that they do not have a resolution for it. So basically they can offer you all sorts of rewards and deals but you may or may not get them because they have a flawed system. I only got my points back because I called and tracked the points down that I should of had. Now I am having to do it again for points taken as recently as yesterday.
