Style
The HALL Arts Hotel is filled with an array of thought-provoking artwork. The space has a clean and crisp design, which acts as the perfect foundation to display the pieces created by established and emerging artists. The emphasis on original art carried throughout the property, from the neon sculptures outside the conference center to the original photos in our room and the sweeping mosaic in the outdoor dining space.
Rooms
The HALL Arts Hotels consists of 28 types of rooms and suites, all designed by HKS Architects with interiors by Bentel & Bentel. Each high-tech and art-filled space seamlessly blends beauty with practicality.
The HALL Supreme King Room came with curated photography of the Arts District, custom furnishings and gorgeous views of the city. Frette linens, plush robes, in-room coffee and tea and a mini-fridge made us feel at home, while the individual steamer and complimentary WiFi were thoughtful touches. Our spacious bathroom was furnished with dual master sinks, a huge shower, separate toilet stall, luxe towels and Natura Bissé bath products by La Bottega.
Facilities
The hotel’s rooftop pool is the perfect place to soak up the warm Texas sun and relaxing with stunning skyline views. The 2,900-square-foot fitness center boasted floor-to-ceiling windows, Matrix and TRX equipment, along with Peloton cycling machines.
Additionally, the hotel houses 6,000 square feet of event space, and the chauffeured house car was available to take us anywhere within a five-mile radius.
Food & Drink
The artful Ellie’s served up seasonal American Cuisine made with farm-fresh ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef Eric Dryer, Oprah Winfrey’s former personal chef, headed the eatery. Standout dishes included the cinnamon roll waffles for breakfast, the infamous Ellie’s burger for lunch and the Niman Ranch pork chop for dinner.
Service
The service at the HALL Arts Hotel goes above and beyond. We never once touched the front door during our stay and enjoyed a glass of HALL wine from Napa Valley at check in. Staff is accommodating throughout the stay, staying attentive of guests’ needs. Ellie’s also has particularly outstanding staff and servers.
Location
HALL Arts Hotel is located in the Dallas Arts District, just steps away from Pritzker Prize-winning architecture, exceptional artwork in various forms and acclaimed eateries. There was plenty to do within walking distance, including a visit to the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin Guadalupe, exploring the Nasher Sculpture Center, strolling through Klyde Warren Park, seeing a show at the Winspear Opera House, checking out the Dallas Museum of Art and so much more.
Address: 1717 Leonard Street, Dallas.
