Bottom Line:
If you are expecting a federal tax return this year then take advantage of this H&R BLOCK Refund eGift Card Bonus Program to get up to 10% more on your return. For example if you anticipate getting $500 back, H&R BLOCK will add an addition $50 for a $550 total eGift card reward. I like the idea of a Walmart or Target gift card as it would go towards groceries and everyday necessities. However if you shop Amazon regularly you can catch some great savings when you purchase household items or even a reward for yourself! Don’t miss out on any of our Gift Card Promotions!
Can anyone tell me how to contact H&R Block to see why I did not receive my Amazon e-gift card for 2019?
Well wonders never cease! I wrote back again to Tangocard, actually forwarded the email reminder that I had received a couple of years ago – and less than 32 hours later got a response asking what type of gift card I wanted, and less than 15 minutes later I had the gift card balance redeemed in my account!
So I take back what ever I said that might have reflected badly on Tangocard, because they came through in the end. I’m just happy I tried again.
I think I was taken by this scam too this year (2019)! I will NEVER use H&R Block again!
Time to contact the IRS!

I will never fall for this trick again
I let H&R Block keep $500 of my refund from my 2014 IRS return. I filed on 3/15. Six weeks later on 4/29/15 I got an email with a link to a Tango Card company site branded like HRBlock. The site will not let me sign in even though I have the correct username and password, and I’ve tried all permutations of upper and lower case. They claim that the security info I’m supplying (taxpayer name, ssn, etc) doesn’t match the account holder.

I know my mother did this last year and it worked fine, but this year she let me use the program first so I got the gift card, but I had some trouble with my bank rejecting my refund money and just now finally received my refubd, but still have not gotten the gift card :/ I am just praying that I do not have to go through all that AGAIN trying to find my money for 6 weeks…
Ann, was the IRS able to track down the money, or is this just a scam?
I’m in the middle of a similar experience. I got my refund from the IRS over a month ago, but never got an email with the refund bonus. I’m now on my third time talking to H&R Block, and they act like this is the most complicated thing that’s ever happened. I don’t why it’s that hard to just send me an Amazon gift card with the money I’m owed.
Please tells your friends and family not to use the H&R Block e-gift card refund option. The IRS dispersed my refund three weeks ago. H&R Block held onto the money, answered all my questions (after 15-40 minutes to reach a person each time) with “you will receive an e-mail or be contacted in 24 to 48 hours”. Today I was told the funds were sent back to the IRS on 3/21/16, but the guy working this issue had not had time to call me. So… I have to start the whole process of finding out where my money is again with the IRS. Not worth it!
