The Jefferson has 99 rooms and suites are classically designed with modern amenities. Each room has their own unique color scheme and layout.
To represent Jefferson’s Monticello home, the Deluxe Room was furnished with wall moldings, white linens and patterned drapes. The bathroom was made with Italian marbling and had a walk-in rainfall shower, mirror TV and Red Flower toiletries.
Facilities
The Jefferson Hotel includes an intimate spa with custom treatments that uses herbs and botanicals from the gardens of Monticello’s. Keep in mind that you must book in advance.
Take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center, business center, library and meeting rooms. You also have free access to the nearby University Club, including an indoor heated pool.
Food & Drink
The Jefferson Hotel is home to Plume, a Michelin-starred restaurant that serves New American fine dining with a romantic twist. Notable dishes include scallops with fennel salad and blood orange hollandaise sauce and the venison rack with apples and sweet black preserved walnuts.
The Greenhouse is a more casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch under a skylight. If you are looking for some craft cocktails, pay a visit to Quill for a drink and live piano music.
Service
The service here is a major plus to the hotel. The staff is not only polite, but quite attentive to detail. The doorman is there to offer an umbrella when its raining and there is a tray of fine chocolates as a small treat.
Location
Located about a ten-minute walk away from the White House and Dupont Circle, The Jefferson Hotel is built near plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The National Geographic Society Museum is about a seven-minute walk away.
