Defective Copper Coils Class Action Lawsuit! According to the lawsuit, Johnson Controls Inc had been manufacturing sold air conditioning systems and heat pump systems that had contained defective copper evaporator coils and copper condenser coils that corrode and leak refrigerant. This is what I sent in since I was turned down and did not have the right model numbers.
To whom it may concern: I appreciate your response on getting back to me. I will kindly disagree with you. The verification process should not be only on the models. Its the coil’s that has failed. So it should also go on the manufacturing number of the coil. Mine might not be on the model number list but my coil failed 3 times. I spent a lot of money on repairs of this York heat pump and finally just thru my hands up in the air and replaced with a new one from a different manufacture. I know I will be passing this along to all websites so other consumers will know about this
