For all class members that have made a payment at a LabCorp patient service center, using a debit card/credit card and for which LabCorp printed a point of sale receipt that displayed the card expiration date between July 6, 2012 and November 4, 2015, you are entitled to receive approximately $200 from the LabCorp FACTA Class Action Lawsuit. According to the lawsuit, LabCorp allegedly printed electronic debit card and credit card receipts that included credit card expiration dates.
Under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, companies are required to truncate credit and debit account information on electronically-printed customer transaction receipts. Although LabCorp doesn’t admit to any wrongdoings, they have agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the costs and risk associated with having the case go to trial. So if you qualify, file a claim by 1/25/2016 to receive benefits from LabCorp.
