Last week, I wrote about the Money Making Rebate Game. Today, I saw a this hot deal whereas you can make money by buying the item via Mail-in-rebate. Of course, you want to shop through Jellyfish to get the maximum cash back. Simply sign up, login into account, pick the store, and shop through the store link. Also, this Discover More Card gives you 1% cash back on everything plus 5% cash back in categories like restaurants, travel, home, gas, movies, and more. Lets roll…
Item 1:
- Add CA Internet Security Flash Drive at Circuit City to cart
- There are 4 Rebates: 07-75379 $20 Rebate, 07-75380 $40 Upgrade Rebate, CA $40 Upgrade Rebate, and search for 07-75280 at CA Rebate for another $20 Rebate.
- Even better if you go to Circuit B&M with this Best Buy Printout of the item for $29.99 and ask for a pricematch to make another $30.
- Math: $30 item after Price match – 1st $20 Rebate – 1st $40 Rebate – 2nd $20 Rebate – 2nd $40 Rebate = $90 Profit + free item.

Least I could do mate! Without your post I wouldn’t have known about the extra $60 in rebates and $35 back from price matching! Cheers!
Thanks Richard for doing the legwork. Much appreciated.
OK, if you goto http://www.carebatecenter.com and goto Pre-Submit Your Rebate… put in the product, date, and place you bought it, it should pull up all the rebates. In my case, 9/10, circuitcity.com.
There are the 2 $20 rebates mentioned here, and 2 $40 (upgrade) rebates as well. Only 1 of the $40 requires the original UPC.
One of the $40 rebates has the address you list above. The other has this address:
CA
Dept. 07-75380
PO Box 540028
EL PASO, TX 88554
So it seems as though they’re 2 distinct rebates. I suggest heading to the CA Rebate Center site and print your rebates from there. Hurry and buy, because 2 of those rebates are in a very small window (9/9 to 9/15)!!
Went in store with the print out, supervisor told me they don’t match web prices. Went to the Best Buy next door, took the price tag off the shelf that said $29.99, took it to CC, they refunded me $35 (for the $60 purchase). Took the price tag back to Best Buy. The end. 🙂
Still waiting to hear whether the $40 Upgrades are the same or not…
Also, this from Circuit City’s website regarding their price-match policy:
Q: When calculating your own price do you take into account mail-in rebates, “free with offers” or other promotional offers?
A: Yes, when calculating our own price, we will take into account all forms of savings available on the item, including mail-in rebates and other forms of deferred savings.
Now their price after THEIR rebates listed is FREE. So it’s quite possible that they’ll say just that, and not pull it down to the $30 at Best Buy.
In any case, I’m going in-store later today and try it anyway. Let’s see what happens.
Umm… then aren’t the 2 $40 Upgrade addresses the same…?
CA
Dept. 07-71356
PO Box 540028
EL PASO, TX 88554
Are you SURE about the 07-75380 $40 Upgrade rebate? I’m asking, because NOWHERE on that form says 07-75380, nor does it provide an address to mail to. I called the number on the form, and CS told me that I should mail it to Dept 07-71356, which makes it EXACTLY the same as the CA $40 upgrade you have listed….
So again, are you SURE that the Circuit City rebate is 07-75380, and is different from the CA $40 Upgrade?
I’m a true Hustla haha
I made $60 off this deal. You just had to go and find another 30 bucks.
