Must Pay with Amex Credit Card to Use Uber Credits Starting November 2024

Bad news to report that you must use an American Express card in order to use their Uber Credits starting November 2024. I’m talking about the Amex Platinum $15 and Amex Gold $10 monthly Uber credit.

Currently, you can simply add both cards and use the credits together for Uber Eats or get an Uber ride. Starting November 8, 2024, they will make you select the AmEx card as the payment option for the balance. We don’t know for sure if the credits must be broken up yet.

Obviouly this is a negative change and we will report back to see how this play out.
