This lavishly discreet property is surrounded by winding walkways surrounding that are adorned with pansies, lemon trees and palms. Guests are immediately greeted with an elegant lobby, a marble reception desk, opulent salons, and a tea lounge with interiors fit for royalty.
Rooms
The Peninsula Beverly Hills has 195 guestrooms – 38 of them suites and 17 of them private villas – and all feature French doors that open to a garden, fountain or city view.
In each room is a DVD menu that offers one Academy Award-winning movie for every year since 1929. Additionally, the bedside iPad controls just about anything you can think of: temperature, lighting, the “Do Not Disturb” sign and more. Guests are also given personally-monogrammed pillowcases that they’re encouraged to take home at the end of their stay.
The Deluxe Room is decked in contemporary neutral tones, accented by lively garden fabrics. The spacious marble bathroom had both a shower and a tub and was stocked with Oscar de la Renta bath amenities.
Facilities
The Peninsula Spa at The Peninsula Beverly Hills was named one of the “Top 10 Spas in the World” by SpaFinder readers. This spa offers effective treatments using the finest products for a truly customized spa experience. Services include body treatments, reflexology, blow outs, nail care and dry saunas.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills is home to four restaurants and bars, all featuring contemporary cuisine in an old-world charming space.
The Belvedere, under the direction of Executive Chef David Codney, is a fine-dining outlet that serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a focus on locally-sourced ingredients and wild-caught seafood. Standouts include the Charred Spanish Octopus, Seared Scallops, Whole-Roasted Cauliflower and Stewed Tomatoes.
The Living Room offers The Peninsula’s infamous Afternoon Tea, accompanied by music of a classical harpist. After sundown, the venue turns into a supper club with the hotel’s resident pianist at work.
The Roof Garden serves up fresh Californian cuisine throughout the day and features dishes that are low in fat and cholesterol. Come for a Sunset Session and enjoy half-priced specialty cocktails.
Last is The Club Bar, named one of the “World’s Best Hotel Bars in 2019” by Forbes Travel Guide. The drink menu here includes rare single-malt whiskies, scotches, tequilas and cognacs, as well as a sizable selection of wines by the glass.

The Peninsula Beverly Hill has a super attentive staff. Service accommodates guests from arrival to end. Guests are offered drinks as they wait for their room and have access to multiple complimentary courtesy cars – including a Rolls Royce – that will take them anywhere in Beverly Hills and Century City.
