- Get your unique referral code. We’ve sent you an email with your unique referral code. Couldn’t find the email? Call us at 800.947.5328 or stop by a branch to ask for it!
- Pass it on to your friends and family. Share your code with anyone who has yet to discover the exceptional advantages of being part of Sunward. Be sure to let them know to input the code if they apply online or to let the teller know that they have a referral code, if they choose to sign up in branch. To activate their reward, the person you refer to Sunward must provide your referral code when applying for membership.
- Earn your reward. You’ll get $75 deposited to your Sunward savings account, once the person you referred:
- Opens a membership with a minimum deposit of $1 into a savings account and opens a Quick Cash or Money Manager checking account.
- Makes $500 or more in qualifying deposits for two consecutive months within 90 days of account opening.
- Completes one or more qualifying transactions with their checking account within 90 days of opening.
- The Sunward Refer a Friend Program (“Program”) is valid from January 14, 2025 to June 30, 2025.
- All new members that meet eligibility and new member account requirements will receive one $225 reward, referred or not.
- All current members will receive a $75 reward for each new member who uses their referral code on a new member application, provided the new member meets all eligibility and new member account requirements.
- Rewards will be deposited into the new and current members’ primary savings account within 90 to 120 days of all requirements being met.
- Sunward employees are eligible to participate as a referring person but are not eligible to receive a $75 reward.
- Referral codes from an existing member must be submitted before the application is complete when applying for membership at a Sunward branch. If applying online, the referral code must be entered into the membership application form where indicated.
- Referral rewards are considered taxable and will be reported to the IRS. Recipients are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the rewards.?Nonresident alien individuals participating in the Program should have a current IRS Form W8-BEN on file with Sunward, if applicable, or otherwise be subject to backup withholding.
- Sunward is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or expired referral codes or links, or any technical issues or errors that may prevent the referrals from joining or enrolling in direct deposit.
- Sunward reserves the right to disqualify any participants who violate the Program rules, the credit union policies, or any applicable laws or regulations.
- Sunward reserves the right to modify, extend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice.
