Housed in a 1917 Beaux Arts building, the contemporary hotel’s artistic and hip design is held true by a rotating collection of artwork in the lobby by the local gallery Artist’s Proof and original murals throughout the property. To further improve the mood of the hotel, there is ambient lighting that cycles through different colors, while decorative accents like preserved chandeliers keep the class.

The Spectacular City View Room was furnished with a W Signature bed, faux crocodile chairs and mini chandeliers. The cozy bathroom featured a glass-enclosed shower and Bliss toiletries.
Facilities

Food & Drink
The W Washington D.C. hotel features some excellent dining with four unique restaurants. At the top, POV is a rooftop bar and lounge that has stunning views of the Washington Monument and serves small plates and specialty cocktails. Corner Office offers twin wood-fired ovens that helps them put out some seriously good pizzas that pair well with their extensive list of local, domestic and international beers. Cherry is another one of their restaurants that also specializes in wood-fired food, but is different by also offering barrel-aged spirits. Finally, Living Room offers creative cocktails and bar bites to the backdrop of trendy electronic music.
Service
Service at The W Hotel was excellent as their staff was very attentive to all needs. The bellboys were always ready to deliver and store bags. Doormen were always available to get you a cab, and the concierge team always had recommendations and directions ready.
Location
The W makes an excellent base for leisure travelers, thanks to its location in old downtown. You can walk to the White House and the Metro Center Station in less than six minutes, and quality restaurants are only a block or two away. Warner Theater and the National Press Club are less than a quarter mile from the hotel.
